In over four decades the relationship between Brooklyn and her mother Julia faces many difficulties. Starting when Brooklyn was a child and following her growth in her 20s and late 40s, the connection between the two becomes more and more unstable until the shadow of a severe illness (Alzhemiers) will require Brooklyn to become a mother herself.
